We were a close-knit, trailblazing community bound by a bold mission: to pursue knowledge through the timeless harmony of faith and reason. Nestled in San Marcos, California, we were defined not by the size of our campus, but by the depth of our relationships and the strength of our purpose.

• Seekers of Wisdom: Guided by our motto, Inquiry Seeking Wisdom, we brought the richness of an Orthodox Christian liberal arts traditions into a modern world. We sat in small classrooms where professors knew our names, challenged our thinking, and treated our education as a shared journey rather than a transaction.

• The Firebird Spirit: As Firebirds, we punched above our weight. On the fields, courts, and sand, we brought grit and passion to NAIA competition. We proved that a small school could carry a big heart, competing with integrity and building unbreakable bonds as teammates.

• A Diverse Family: We were scholars, athletes, artists, and community builders from all walks of life. We gathered in worship, supported each other through late-night study sessions, and built a sanctuary of learning that felt like home.

Though our doors have closed, who we were is not defined by brick and mortar or a final chapter in 2024. We are defined by the values instilled in us, the lifelong friendships forged on Ranchero Drive, and the light we continue to carry into our professions and communities. The physical institution may be gone, but the spirit of Saint Katherine endures in every life we touch.
